Domaine Ruffinatto Luberon Les Ménines Rosé 2015 comes from south-eastern France between the Rhone and Provence and is a typical grenache, cinsault and syrah blend.
The colour is so Frenchy being that beautiful and inviting salmon pink that says “drink me now”.
There isn’t a strong aroma but you do get a pleasant waft of sweet fruit.
This is a light to medium bodied rosé which is enjoyable from the first sip. Although a little tart to start and definitely dry, it then becomes nicely balanced with the sweetness of the fruit coming through with each sip.
This rosé is a little hard to find and we were lucky enough to pick this up from Sydney Rosé distributor 84vin at the Melbourne Good Food and Wine Show for under $30.
Rosé review thoughts…..
It was National Rosé Day and this rosé didn’t get to see much of it. This was a well balanced rosé that was a joy to drink from the first sip to the last and disappeared quickly.
